Wow. An early contender for headline of the year: "Eddie Murphy to join DeVito and Schwarzenegger in Twins sequel". I have no words.

It appears that a new rumor has surfaced that Eddie Murphy is teaming up with original “Twins” cast members, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, to create “Triplets.” Here’s a few more details of the rumor from Screen Rant:
In a perplexing bit of news (that is simultaneously so obvious it makes you want to punch yourself in the head), Universal is allegedly trying to pull together a sequel to the 1988 Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny DeVito comedy Twins with an important twist. The new film will feature Eddie Murphy as a third long-lost brother.
You heard that right folks. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito, and Eddie Murphy could be Triplets if Universal can pull together a script and get a director onboard.
Here’s the trailer from the original film:
Just wondering how they’re going to pull this one off. Could be an incredible movie if written correctly. Yes, the Twitter reaction is very mixed on this one.
a sequel to #Twins with Eddie Murphy! the phrase 'scraping the bottom of the barrel' comes to mind!

They are making a sequel to Twins, called Triplets. And Eddie Murphy is the long lost brother? For some reason this has me excited.

At first we thought this was just a late April Fools joke, but Wednesday, the news of a sequel was further confirmed.
Wait.. So you mean to say the news about Triplets, the sequel to the movie Twins, isn't an April fools joke?

So I guess they will be doing the sequel to the movie Twins as Eddie Murphy as the triplet borther. How does this work?

It’s the ’80s all over again.
Twenty-four years after Universal treated the world to Twins, the hit comedy that paired Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito as the most unlikely fraternal twins imaginable, the studio is ramping up development on a sequel dubbed—you guessed it!—Triplets.
And it’s looking to add Eddie Murphy to the brood as the third brother.
